BULAN puasa sudah tiba. Agar tubuh tetap fit dan sehat selama menjalani puasa, atur pola makan dengan tip berikut.

1. Saat sahur, diharapkan 1/3 kebutuhan energi untuk seharian dapat dipenuhi. Sisanya, 2/3 bagian dilunasi saat berbuka dan sepanjang waktu makan malam. Karena itu perhatikan gizinya.

2. Pada saat berbuka, dianjurkan mengonsumsi terlebih dahulu makanan yang bersuhu ruangan atau suam-suam kuku karena relatif sama dengan suhu tubuh.

3. Saat berbuka, jangan kalap menyantap makanan terlalu banyak. Justru akan membuat perut sakit. Yang baik adalah berhenti sebelum kenyang agar tubuh bisa menyerap gizi secara maksimal. Beri waktu pada perut sebelum makan lagi.

4. Hindari makanan atau minuman yang memiliki keasaman tinggi seperti cuka. Menjelang buka, biasanya terjadi peningkatan asam lambung.

5. Awali berbuka puasa dengan makanan kecil berkadar gula tinggi, jangan langsung makan nasi. Sebab nasi sulit diubah menjadi energi. Setelah satu jam makan makanan manis, baru makan nasi, karena kadar gula akan normal lagi.

6. Hindari makanan pedas dan kaya bumbu, seperti jahe, cabai, lada, karena merangsang panas dan menimbulkan keringat, yang akan mengurangi kadar air dalam tubuh. Padahal seharian berpuasa, Anda sudah kekurangan cairan.
